Really like the composition here. When I shoot flowers I'm always at a loss. While I can appreciate a narrow DOF, what part of the flower should be sharply in focus? Stamen? Petals?

That's actually a question I am asked fairly often. Narrow DOF can make a very dramatic image. Here I felt that the petals were most interesting so I focused there and left the rest out of focus. One thing you can do it shoot several shots in sequence with various points of focus. This allows you to look at the images later and decide what you want your focal point to be.
